Thomas’ Resume

Tom Hendrich enjoys his role as a learning consultant at Dark Horse Group. His passion is developing learning experiences that drive success in sales performance, scientific/technical learning, operational performance, business processes, and performance management areas.

With 15 years of early exposure to the challenges and successes that come with running a family manufacturing firm, Tom gained an early appreciation for the power of supporting business processes and systems with a balance of leadership, training, and innovation. After discovering his specific zest for the learning field while in a career path in aerospace engineering management, Tom set out to find ways to share his learning expertise with other organizations.

Since 2000, Tom has engaged in all facets of the learning and development sphere. Tom first leveraged his design and technical acumen in the burgeoning eLearning field while serving as Director of Information Technology for a Federally-funded program charged with providing training for health care providers in Kansas. During this time at Wichita State University, managed and supported the entire eLearning development process, including instructional design, copy writing, development, and project management of key offerings and supporting technologies.

Tom relocated to the Philadelphia-area in 2006, when he joined Night Kitchen Interactive as a consultant, and was later promoted to Operations Manager. While at Night Kitchen, Tom played an integral role in the consulting, design, development, and project management of key eLearning programs and community of practice portals for key clients, including Bristol-Myers Squibb and NovoNordisk. In 2008, Tom joined Hemsley Fraser Group, a global learning and development solutions company based out of the UK. While at Hemsley Fraser, Tom led global learning programs for Accenture and provided key change management leadership.

Tom left Hemsley Fraser in Fall 2009 to pursue a life-long dream as an independent consultant. His growing client list includes Accenture, Allergan, Bristol-Myers Squibb, CSL Behring, Forest Labs, Jerry Acuff/Delta Point, Merck, NovoNordisk, Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Raytheon Corporation, Schering Plough, and Unilever Corporation.

Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas. His motto is “Performance development is built on knowledge, communication, and relationships.”
